I'm thinking of building some bat houses for my home and to sell. Bats eat large amounts of insects each night. It is a natural way of controlling the mosquito population and other bugs in your neighborhood. Homes for bats are often in short supply. Their populations are declining around the world, often because of disappearing habitat.
I haven't figured out what design to do for the bat house. I'm looking for something that would be simple, but yet visually appealing. Of course, the design also has to be one that the bats would like and use. Some possible designs are:
I like the third one with the gabled roof the best at this time. Let me know what you think? What do you think of bat houses? If you were interested in purchasing a bat house, which design would you be more interested in?
Past and current items that I have made. The items range from small things to full room remodels. Also listed are items that I currently have for sale.

Bird Houses For Sale
I currently have these bird houses for sale. They are made out of bird friendly cedar wood. Cedar is naturally rot resistant, unlike pressure treated wood. All of them have pivoting bottoms on them so they can be opened up for cleaning. I'm asking $12 each. If you are interested, please email me at IAFatboy96@gmail.com
Past Project - Built-in Bookcases and Mantel
Past Project - Kitchen Table
Here is a kitchen table that I built. It was made out of hard maple and was stained to match the chairs that they bought. This table turned out heavy and looks very nice in the house.
Past Project - Wainscoting
Here is some wainscotting that I did in a basement. It went around whole room and up that stairs. I also added storage under the staircase.
Past Project - Built-in Bookcase
This is a built-in bookcase that I built. It has storage cabinets with inset doors. It went from wall to wall and floor to ceiling.
Past Project - Side Table
Here is a little side table that I made out of scrap wood I had in the garage. The lady that I made it for was an artist and was going to paint designs on it.
